Parent Council Meeting - October 24 @ 7:30 in the gym
Classroom Rules There is only 1 rule in my classroom, and that is "Don't do anything that could hurt anybody on the inside or outside".

This is an overview of what we will be focusing on this week: October 10 - 14 Math - We are working on estimation and measurement this week. To keep with our Halloween theme we will be estimating how many plastic skulls can fit in specific containers, using referents. We will also be measuring objects around the school using non-standard units. ELA - We are continuing on with our Author of the Month - Robert Munsch. We're going to practise writing new endings to some of his stories, as well as writing letters to Robert Munsch that we'll mail next week. Spelling Words for Week 5
Science - Our focus in on Nutrition this week, so we will be learning about the 4 food groups, and how many servings of each food is required. We will also discuss healthy food choices and practise making some healthy snacks and meals together.
Social Studies - Members of our community will be coming into our class to present their jobs to us. This is continuing on with focus on the community, and contributions of those in it.
Art Smarts - Richard will be in our class on Monday from 10:30 - 11:30 for Drama, and Miss. Marilee will be in Phys. Ed on Wednesday for Dance.
